HELP & HOW TO
Less scrolling.
More playing.
Your guide to a clearer fullscreen view of Ultimate Guitar chord sheets.
THE BASICS
Ready in three steps
- Open your song
Open a song on Ultimate Guitar. For an Official or Pro tab, select its text Chords view first.
- Go fullscreen
Click ⛶ Fullscreen near Download PDF. You can also click the extension icon, then Find Fullscreen button.
- Let Auto Fit do the work
It compares one, two and three columns to choose the largest text that fits. Read down each column, from left to right.
Make it yours
Choose Columns or font − / + for manual adjustments. Click Auto Fit to fit the song again. Very long sheets may still need scrolling.
Choose your look
Dark is the starting theme. Theme, Custom Colours and Highlight Chorus are saved on this device. Your saved choice takes priority over the default.
Keep the song together
Chords stay with their following lyrics. Full choruses remain visible. Repeat Chorus cues highlight their chorus heading; they do not replace the song's text.
Transpose or exit
Transpose changes this viewer only. Press Esc or Exit fullscreen to return to Ultimate Guitar. If you chose another song, its normal page opens.
YOUR SETLIST
Bring your playlists along
- Open your playlist collection on Ultimate Guitar to discover your lists.
- In the viewer, open Playlists. The viewer tries to load your discovered lists. Playlist loading is currently intermittent.
- In fullscreen, click Playlists or move the pointer to the left edge. Choose a list, search or sort, then pick a song.
Refresh any Ultimate Guitar tabs that were already open. A new installation starts with no saved playlists; open your collection to discover them. If a list is missing or empty, open that playlist on Ultimate Guitar and select a song from it before returning to the fullscreen viewer. This is the current workaround while the issue is investigated.
After editing a playlist, click Open playlist to update and let its Ultimate Guitar page load. If the updated songs do not appear, select a song from the playlist on Ultimate Guitar first. Your current song stays visible if a selected song cannot load; Official/Pro pages may require opening their Chords view on Ultimate Guitar.
To clear saved playlist links, open Help inside the extension and choose Clear saved playlists. This keeps your Ultimate Guitar playlists and display preferences.
INSTALLATION & UPDATES
Keep the view current
The Chrome Web Store release is being prepared. Its installation link will appear on the project homepage when available.
After installing or updating, refresh Ultimate Guitar tabs that were already open. An unpacked installation and a Store installation can use different extension IDs, so their saved preferences and playlists may be separate.
WHEN SOMETHING NEEDS A TWEAK
Quick checks
- No Fullscreen button: refresh the song page and check that the extension is enabled. Official and Pro pages need an accessible text Chords view.
- Text is too small or needs scrolling: try Auto Fit, then adjust Columns and font size. Very long sheets may still scroll.
- A playlist is missing: open that list on Ultimate Guitar and select a song from it, then return to the viewer.
- Email draft does not open: use Copy report in the extension's Help page, then paste it into a message to zoldy2@gmail.com.
For other issues, include the extension version, what you did, what you expected and what happened. Screenshots are helpful. Review any private information before sending.
